Home > About us

The Institute of Regulation & Risk, North Asia (IRRNA) is a not for profit organization registered in Hong Kong providing a neutral platform - independent of government and big business - to promote greater industry understanding and best practice within the fields of Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC) working within the financial services sector with operations in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Taiwan.

The IRRNA utilises a comparative and contrasting methodology to illustrate major differences and to highlight the similarities of regulatory and corporate governance regimes within the G20 economies. Our remit is to encourage open dialogue and an exchange of ideas and opinions between East and West to augment GRC skills that will prove invaluable in improving official and public confidence in the financial services industry.

We seek to create a community of interest and a spirit of collegiality with GRC practitioners within Regulatory bodies, Central Banks, professional bodies and the financial services sector globally, thus ensuring that the Institute remains within nexus of GRC developments within our region.
